Forget-Me-Not Infinity Scarf
The Forget-Me-Not Infinity Scarf
by Hooks and Needles Co.
The Forget-Me-Not Infinity Scarf has a very special meaning to me. I was inspired by one of the most painful seasons of my life. It is a testimony of how God can make beauty from the ashes.
I am a miscarriage survivor. In 2008 my world was shattered when I lost my baby at 8 weeks. I was the only person on this earth to experience that child. To feel the symptoms of a tiny human in my womb. I hadn’t even had a sonogram yet, so my husband only had the knowledge that they were there. He never saw, he never heard a heartbeat, it was too soon to feel kicks or hiccups. I feel that these losses, while affecting everyone in the mother’s life, affects the mother in an extremely different way. We can’t forget, but others seem to. They forget the child that was here for a moment, but taken so soon. I am reminded of my child whenever I see a forget-me-not flower. My child still exists. One day I will finally get to hold them in my arms.
All my love to those who have experienced this loss.
I strongly recommend reading through the entire pattern before getting started. Take note or highlight rounds when changes, such as decreases, are made.
